The Coquitlam Metro-Ford Barça '96 boys won their 8th game of the season versus Surrey Selects thanks in part to a 3 goal performance by Rashaun Rivers and singles from a Marcello Polisi free kick and a Ryan Mobilio tap in, thanks to a great individual run from Giordano Baldonero.Although the win elevates Barça nearer to the top of the league, the defensive woes has the Barça coaching staff shaking their heads. Barça have only let in 17 goals (1.00 GAA) in 17 games but 6 of those goals came at the hands of the Surrey Select team that is closer to the bottom than the top.
Barça have 3 games left and continue their quest to finish in the top 4 when they face a tough Alouette Ultra team next weekend in Maple Ridge. Barça is now 8-4-5 on the season for 28 points and 5th in the league.
